Please take time to become familiar with how these work beforehand. They behave differently than conventional coil elements. They are made from heavy cast iron embedded with coils that distribute heat uniformly, and as such are slower to respond to changes in heat settings than regular coil elements. Also, these will not glow red because of a thermal protector or limiter that prevents them from becoming excessively hot. This particular model is very desirable for its versatility, including indoor grilling. All bays of this unit are convertible and will accommodate optional accessories and other types of cartridges. Very attractive sleek look with stainless steel frame. Includes User and Installation Manual for your convenience. What you see is exactly what you get. Expect some wear as this is a used item (scrapes, scuffs, rust). Notice the wear on the stainless steel edge (zoom in). Note also there is some rust inside the filter chamber which is pretty common (zoom in). Of the knobs looks like it came into contact with something hot. This is hardly noticeable. The electric griddle is made by Kenmore & also shows wear. Vent and grill grates show very little wear. Overall this unit is cosmetically above average and very clean.
