Jenn-Air Stainless 30 Electric Downdraft Drop-In Cooktop Vintage Retro Jenn Air. See Video at bottom of description. This was in storage for 30 plus years but appears to have never been used. Unsure of age as there is no serial number on unit, but Jenn Air said it has to be pre 1984 because it’s before they merged with Maytag. This cooktop comes with two coil elements (built in) and one grill element with grates and lava rocks, grease jar, filter, instruction guide. When first tested, the red burner indicator light stayed on and didn’t shut off. It did begin functioning correctly after testing unit for a while. I then ran the cooktop for an extended time and the burner indicator light continued to work correctly in that it turned off when burner switches were in the off position and lighted up when one or more burner switches were on. The coil elements are hard wired in (see photo) but drip pans are removable for cleaning. One speed Downdraft fan runs strong — see video below.
